FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What age group is Pursuit Camp for?

Pursuit Camp is for rising 7th grade students (those who have just finished 6th grade), all the way to recently graduated seniors. Pursuit Winter Retreat is for current 7th-12th grade students.

Can I come if my church isn't coming?

Yes! Just know that you (or your student) will be placed under the leadership of one of the participating churches at camp.

What's the typical student/leader ratio?

For every church committing to bring students to camp, we require at least a 1-to-7 leader-to-student ratio. However, we typically have close to a 1-to-4 leader-to-student ratio each year.

What's our tech policy?

Pursuit Camp and Winter Retreat is tech-free for students. This encourages students to focus on building relationships with God and with others, without distraction. This includes smartphones, smart watches, tablets, and headphones. We encourage and strongly recommend that students leave their tech at home, otherwise they will be required to turn it in during registration (and sign a liability release for it). We cannot emphasize enough that we strongly encourage students to leave their tech at home.

Is there a dress code?

We have a modesty code for camp that includes dress guidelines for campers. Participating churches typically go over the modesty guidelines with their students in advance of camp.

What should I pack?

What kind of activities are available during free time?

There are a whole host of activities available during free time! Students can play gaga ball, basketball, volleyball, enjoy the playgrounds, or just hang out with their friends. During summer camp, the snack shack and water activities are available as well. The activities team will also usually coordinate another activity offering (such as angleball) and students can participate in those. Lastly, free time is an ideal time for students to find emblems or solve the daily riddle to earn points for their team.

How do I contact my student if there's an emergency?

Your student can be reached via their church’s youth pastor in the case of an emergency. Be aware however that cell phone service and wifi is spotty at the campground.

What's the cancellation/refund policy?

Registration cancellations are eligible for a refund (minus any processing fees from eventbrite) up until the registration deadline. Any registrations passed the registration deadline are non-refundable.
